Cheesy Pesto Pea Pasta
Ten minutes- tops! This recipe is so quick it will be on the table before your little one even notices you're cooking.
A comforting dish, but not too heavy, and full of wholesome goodness too! This dish counts as 1 of their 5 A Day, and is a good source of fibre and protein. Make some extra for yourself too so you can enjoy lunch with the kids!

Ingredients
- 200g Fusilli Pasta
- 2 Tbsp Soft Cream Cheese
- 1 Tbsp Parmesan
- 2 Tsp Pesto
- 50g Frozen Peas
- 4 Cherry Tomatoes
Method
- Cook your Fusilli Pasta in unsalted boiling water according to the packet instructions
- In the final couple of minutes cooking time, add your frozen peas to the pan and bring to the boil for another minute or too
- Once cooked, drain your pasta and peas.
- Stir in the Pesto, Parmesan and Soft Cream Cheese whilst the pasta is still hot. Combine until it melts into a gorgeous light green sauce, coating the pasta and peas.
- Top with your Cherry Tomatoes and serve warm.
How to Serve
Depending on your babies age and developmental stage, you might wish to make a few adjustments to this recipe to ensure it's safe for them to consume.
6-9 months: mash the peas. Cut your tomatoes into quarters lengthwise.
9-12 months+: mash or flatten the peas. Cut your tomatoes into quarters lengthways.
